We have two options for child sponsorship:
1) Sponsor a child from the Children’s home. The age range of orphans living in our Children’s Home is from two years to twenty. Younger children attend our school up to grade 6, and the teenagers attend high school in the community. Once they complete high school, you have the opportunity to continue to support your child through trade or technical training and witness them transition into independence, bringing about lasting change to their families and communities. You will receive two letters from your child a year, and have the ability to communicate with him or her via email or e-cards as frequently as you wish, and send gifts down to your child with teams travelling to Haiti. 2) Sponsor a classroom. You can help several children at once! For still only $35 per month, we will send you a photo of a classroom. Your financial support will go towards providing a school uniform, text books, supplies and a daily nutritious meal for one child from this classroom. You will receive a letter or card twice a year from one of the 30 – 40 students in your chosen class. You have the opportunity to send extra treats (such as candy canes) for a whole class at Christmas time or other special occasions.
New this year: Teacher Sponsorship With the earthquake of January 12, 2010, many of our teachers’ houses were damaged or destroyed. We invite you to support our valuable, hard working teachers. For $35/month, you can help Heart to Heart pay their salary, purchase resources such as chalkboards, chalk, calculators, and various other essentials for teaching, and provide opportunity for professional development classes.
