Heart to Heart has now moved into the reconstruction phase of our relief efforts.  We began the demolition and clean up of our school and kitchen in February.  Large, industrial strength tents have been constructed for sleeping accommodations and a kitchen/dining room, and temporary wooden shelters have been set up to accommodate our classrooms.  The foundation for a new kitchen will begin mid-June 2010.

On April 21st one of these containers arrived and they will spend the next 11 days setting up two large structural tents, (24’ x 32’ each) complete with wooden floors. One tent will house a kitchen and the other a guesthouse. Each tent if fully contained with power and fans and is guaranteed to last 20 years. Darcy’s team will also build a carpentry shop to house all the tools and table saws so that future teams will have the necessary equipment to do their work.
