May 1st was Labour Day / Agriculture Day for Haiti and the H2H school celebrated in typical Haitian style!!
They started with an assembly led by Principal Garry where the kids were educated on life skills (hygiene, relationships, etc) and then watched a Jackie Chan movie
The kids played on the playground…
…while the teachers made bouyon soup (a stew with goat meat, plantains, potatos, yams, sweet potatos, carrots, etc).
Even Principal Garry made his share of “boilles” (dough fingers they put in the stew):
The bouyon was enjoyed by all…including myself!
